The Village has been addressing numerous inquiries regarding waste disposal. To ensure clarity and maintain community cleanliness, residents are encouraged to direct their questions to LRS.

LRS serves as the primary contact for various waste-related concerns. These include bulk collection items, acceptable and unacceptable waste in totes, hassle-free mattress disposal, and special services such as dumpster rentals, white goods collection, or construction or demolition debris disposal.

Recent reports have highlighted issues with items left at the curb that LRS cannot collect or totes being used incorrectly. Residents are advised to consult LRS via phone or their website before placing any items out for collection, aside from regular household trash. For those who require more than one refuse tote regularly, additional totes can be rented directly from LRS by calling 815-725-4555.

Further information and answers to waste disposal queries can be found on the LRS website.

“Thanks for helping us keep Channahon tidy!”
