On Saturday, March 14, at 2:05 p.m., former Plainfield North High School standout Brandon Bak started for the UIC Flames, who were defeated 6-5 by the UNC Greensboro Spartans in their NCAA Division I baseball game.

Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium hosted the matchup, which marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In the first contest on Friday, March 13, the Flames lost by a score of 9-5.

Bak pitched 4.1 innings, giving up five earned runs with one walk and three strikeouts.

UIC is set to face UNC Greensboro again on Sunday, March 15, at 1:05 p.m. at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
