At 2:05 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, the UIC Flames, featuring former Crete Monee High School standout Zack Millsap, were narrowly defeated 6-5 by the UNC Greensboro Spartans in an NCAA Division I baseball matchup.

Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium served as the venue for the game, which marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The prior contest occurred on Friday, March 13, when the Flames fell 9-5 to the Spartans.

Millsap pitched three innings, surrendering one earned run, with two walks and one strikeout.

UIC’s next game is set for Sunday, March 15, against UNC Greensboro at 1:05 p.m. at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
