City of Joliet Board of Fire and Police Commissioners Met April 22.

CALL TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

Present Brad Price, Todd Wooten, Quinn Adamowski and Rosa Hernandez

Absent Craig Purchase

CITIZENS TO BE HEARD ON AGENDA ITEMS

No emails were received and no one was present to speak.

This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners do not generally respond to public comments. Please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Board of Fire and Police Commission shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

PROMOTION OF TWO POLICE OFFICERS

Police Chief Malec addressed the Board recommending the promotion of two sergeants to two lieutenants.

Sergeant Christopher Schott to Lieutenant Christopher Schott

A motion was made by Todd Wooten, seconded by Brad Price, to promote Sergeant Christopher Schott to Lieutenant.

The motion failed by the following vote:

Nay: Price, Wooten and Adamowski

Absent: Purchase

Abstain: Hernandez

Sergeant Christopher Delaney to Lieutenant Christopher Delaney

A motion was made by Todd Wooten, seconded by Brad Price, to promote Sergeant Christopher Delaney to Lieutenant.

The motion carried by the following vote:

Aye: Price, Wooten and Adamowski

Absent: Purchase

Abstain: Hernandez

RECOMMENDATION

None.

PUBLIC COMMENT
