City of Joliet issued the following announcement on Jan. 14.
Due to a train derailment, Metra has CANCELLED morning service on Metra Heritage Corridor.

Metra's page (https://metrarail.com/maps-schedules/train-lines/HC) shows the following information.
Due to a freight train derailment east of Lemont, Heritage Corridor trains will not operate. Passengers are encourage to use Rock Island Joliet, BNSF, and Southwest Service trains as alternative transportation. Metra will provide updated information as it becomes available.
