54 percent of applicants to Lewis University were admitted for fall 2017

At Lewis University, 79 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Romeoville enrolled 6,506 students in fall 2017, including 4,506 in undergraduate and 2,000 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

90 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 9 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (58 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 54 percent of the 5,447 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 21 percent enrolled.
