PEOTONE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE: Cops: Musician defecates in grassy area
Peotone Chamber Of Commerce issued the following announcement on May 19.
A 20-year-old musician from Pennsylvania urinated and defecated on the grass at the parking lot of Menards in Joliet, police said.
At close to 2 p.m. Thursday, Andrew J. Wisniewski, 20, of Doylestown was issued a citation charging him with lewd conduct.
Officers responded to the Menards parking lot after receiving a report of a man urinating and defecating in the grass, Joliet Deputy Police Chief Ed Gregory in an email.
He was described as a shirtless man with a red beard, wearing a cowboy hat and blue underwear but no pants, Gregory said.
Numerous residents called about Wisniewski, who was reportedly near an RV where there were empty beer cans on the grass.
When Wisniewski was asked by officers why he didn’t use the toilet in the RV, he allegedly said he was in a band and they don’t “poop” in the RV, Gregory said.
Gregory said the police report didn’t mention which band Wisniewski belongs to. He said the officers received several complainants from witnesses who saw Wisniewski “as he did his business.”
“I’m unsure if they went looking in the field to collect/view said evidence,” he said.
