V. Comments By Chief Operating Officer And Chief Financial Officer

Chief Operating Officer Ralph Schultz spoke about the upcoming winter events taking place at our preserves.

• We have launched a new email blast called the Weekly Five that will highlight (5) five programs that are coming up during the week. This initiative will promote program registration and event attendance.

• Plum Creek Nature Preserve Warm up to Snowshoeing will offer two for one snowshoe rentals out at Goodenow Grove Forest Preserve, Saturday, February 10, 2018

• Four Rivers Environmental Educational Center will host Eagle Watch on the River. We will have a number of exhibits in the hall as well as our interpretive staff on hand to help spot the eagle over the Des Plaines River.

W. Appointments/Comments By President

X. Presentation Of Awards

1. Appreciation of Partners Awards

President Hart and Chief Operating Officer Schultz presented (2) two awards for Forest Preserve District Appreciation of Partners Award to Xylem Water Solutions and Water Technology, an the University of St. Francis - Recreation Sports Management Team.

Matt Johnson and Paul Yost from Xylem Water Solutions and Water Technology accepted the award and expressed his mission statement is to protect and preserve state water sources across the globe. Mr. Johnson stated that their local office is encouraged to get involved locally to support clean water resources. The Forest Preserve has allowed us several opportunities in the last couple years to get out and get involved, which has also brought our office closer together getting out there and working side by side. Xylem appreciates all the opportunities they have had volunteering for the Forest Preserve District.

Sister Mary Elizabeth Imler and Chaplain, Father Terry Deffenbaugh fro the University of St. Francis accepting this award on behalf of their Recreation Sports Management Team and Professor Sydney Sklar. Sister Mary Elizabeth spoke about how this is a wonderful opportunity for their students and that the University's mission is really about helping our students be transformed into leaders who will be of service in their communities. Father Terry also thanked the Forest Preserve District for this opportunity.

President Hart acknowledge Xylem Water Solutions and University of St. Francis- Recreation Sports Management Team and thanked them for their continued support of the Forest Preserve District.

President Hart and Chief Operating Officer Schultz presented the IAPD Board Member Anniversary Award to:
