#1 DRINKALL FARM CONCEPT PLAN
Mr. Jon Proulx, stated that the applicant is considering purchasing the property at 12464 S. Heggs Road and is seeking input from the Village Board on their proposed use of the property prior to closing on the sale. Mr. Kurt Watson gave a presentation highlighting the intended use for the property to include the use of a residence as well as converting the barn into a special event venue. The farmland would be used to grow produce for sale on-site as a farmstand to supplement the residential and special event venue uses.
Mr. Proulx pointed out that development of the property as proposed would entail annexation into the Village with the opportunity to identify detailed rights and restrictions of the proposed uses in the annexation agreement. The entitlement process would require public hearings and certified notice to abutting property owners as part of the review process.
There was general consensus of support from the Village Board to proceed with the project and to hook up to the Village's water and sewer.
#2 STRATEGIC PLAN STUDIES
The Village staff and Lance Dorn, SB Friedman gave a presentation regarding proposals to complete two studies related to strategic planning initiatives. The studies include Van Dyke Road Site— Market Feasibility and Site Assessment and Comprehensive Housing Study. There was some general discussion regarding the proposals for the studies.
