The Silver Cross Foundation announced on April 3 the appointment of Dr. Samer Dola to its Board of Directors. In this new role, Dr. Dola will support the foundation’s work to improve patient care, advance clinical programs, and expand community health initiatives in the region.
Dr. Dola is currently Medical Director and Chairman of the Pathology Department at Silver Cross Hospital, a position he has held since 2015. He also serves as Co-Founder and President of Comprehensive Pathology Associates, where he leads clinical operations that focus on diagnostic excellence and laboratory innovation across several specialties.
Dr. Dola is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. He completed his residency at Loyola University Medical Center, with fellowship training at both Cleveland Clinic and Loyola University Medical Center, as well as research training at Harvard University. His background has contributed to advancements in pathology services at Silver Cross Hospital through improved diagnostic accuracy and multidisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to his clinical leadership roles, Dr. Dola is an active supporter of the Silver Cross Foundation as a member of the Physician Giving Society. Together with his partners at Comprehensive Pathology Associates, he has supported key foundation initiatives including annual sponsorships for fundraising events such as the Silver Cross Charity Golf & Pickleball Classic and the Childerguild Ball, along with a leadership gift to support development of heart care programs.

Dr. Dola will serve on the Annual Fund Committee overseeing efforts that encourage community engagement in charitable giving for patient-centered projects at Silver Cross Hospital.
