Romeoville property owners paid property taxes amounting to 2.2% of their home’s value in the fourth quarter of 2025, more than 2.5 times higher than the national average, according to BlockShopper.com.

During that period, the median sales price for a Romeoville home was $307,500, based on 84 properties sold. The city’s median tax bill in 2025 reached $6,826, representing 2.2% of the median assessed property value.
