The Village of Monee has clarified that the recent drinking water advisory issued by Aqua Illinois does not pertain to its own water supply. The advisory had raised concerns among residents, but officials assure that Monee’s drinking water remains unaffected.

According to the statement, “While Aqua does treat our wastewater, our drinking water supply is completely independent from Aqua and is safe to use.” Residents receiving a water bill from the Village of Monee can be confident in the safety of their drinking water.
