In the fourth quarter of 2025, Mokena homeowners paid property taxes equal to 2.1% of their home values—more than 2.4 times the U.S. average—BlockShopper.com reports.

BlockShopper.com data show the median sales price for a Mokena home in the fourth quarter was $460,000 from 45 properties sold. For 2025, the city’s median property tax bill was $9,741, which represents 2.1% of the median value taxed.
