Michael Paul Koomar, a graduate of Peotone High School Class of 1971, passed away on June 5, 2025, at Riverside Hospital in Kankakee after prolonged illnesses. He held a degree from Western Illinois University and worked for over 35 years in the Lawn Equipment Division of various companies. Michael, known as a devoted Chicago Bears fan, was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Bernadine Koomar. He is survived by his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews. A visitation will be held at Fedde-Helfrich-Cross Funeral Home on Friday, June 13, 2025, with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Peotone the following day.
