Former Lincoln-Way Central High School standout Jalese Hays helped lead her current team, the Lindenwood Lions, to a 10-3 victory over the Green Bay Phoenix in an NCAA Division II softball game held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 4:30 p.m.
Lou Brock Sports Complex hosted the game, marking the first meeting of the season between the Lions and Phoenix.
Hays pitched 4.1 innings, allowing one earned run with one walk and two strikeouts.
The Lions will take on Green Bay Phoenix again at Lou Brock Sports Complex on Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m.
