Joyce Ann Wiberg, a lifelong educator and dedicated learner, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois. She was remembered for her significant contributions to education, her passion for the arts, and her diverse range of interests.

Born on September 19, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, Joyce’s love for learning led her to pursue her studies at Chicago Teachers College and later at Governors State University. She spent 35 years teaching and pioneering innovation in the classroom, particularly through the Computer Education Program in Oak Lawn-Hometown School District 123.

In addition to her teaching career, Joyce was an active member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and enjoyed oil painting, architecture tours, and travel with her husband Donald. Her family, including her children Kristen and Craig, and her grandchildren and great-granddaughter, brought her immense joy and pride throughout her life.

Joyce’s warm and caring nature touched all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of inspiration for her family and the countless students she influenced. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel in Frankfort, Illinois, on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be private at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon, Michigan.
