Former Joliet West High School basketball player Jeremy Fears Jr., now playing for Michigan State, helped his team defeat the Louisville Cardinals 77-69 in the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 21.

The matchup was held at KeyBank Center with tipoff at 2:45 p.m.

Fears Jr. tallied 12 points, 16 assists, three rebounds and one steal over 37 minutes played.

The Spartans are set to face their next opponent on Friday, March 27 at 9:45 p.m. at Capital One Arena.
