James Love helps Eastern Illinois top Arkansas-Pine Bluff 13-3 in Division I baseball

Eastern Illinois Panthers, featuring former Joliet West High School standout James Love, earned a 13-3 win against the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions in their NCAA Division I baseball game Wednesday, March 18, at 2 p.m.

The game was played at Torii Hunter Baseball Complex and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In the prior contest on Tuesday, March 17, the Panthers shut out the Golden Lions 2-0.

Love notched one hit in four at-bats, scored three runs, drove in one run and struck out once.

Eastern Illinois is set to face the Lindenwood Lions in their next game Friday, March 20, at 3 p.m. at the Lou Brock Sports Complex.
