James ‘Jim’ Murphy, 82, of Romeoville, beloved husband of Eileen for 60 years, father of Scott and Christine, and grandfather of Abby, passed away. He was the son of the late Richard and Katie, survived by sister Patricia (Jim) Bergen. Jim was a devoted family man, available to help family and friends and was a member of IBEW Local 134 for over 40 years as a Journeyman Electrician. Proud of his work, he built many buildings in downtown Chicago, being a passionate White Sox fan.

Born in Chicago, Jim attended Our Lady of Mercy and St. George High School, Evanston. Visitation will be on Friday, March 9th, with services on Saturday, March 10th at Anderson Funeral Home in Plainfield, Illinois.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
