Homeowners in Ingalls Park paid 2% of their home values in property taxes during the fourth quarter of 2025, a rate that is more than 2.2 times the national average, BlockShopper.com reports.

Data covering 13 home sales in Ingalls Park for the fourth quarter of 2025 showed a median sales price of $164,900. The city’s median tax bill in 2025 was $3,276, matching 2% of the median taxable home value.

For comparison, the average U.S. effective property tax rate was 0.888% in 2024.

Within Will County, Wilton, Park Forest, and University Park registered the top three effective property tax rates among cities there.
