Illinois State’s Camden Karczewski competes in 7-6 NCAA baseball victory over Western Illinois

Former Joliet West High School standout Camden Karczewski helped lead the Illinois State Redbirds to a 7-6 win over the Western Illinois Leathernecks in an NCAA Division I baseball game held Saturday, March 14, at 3 p.m.

Duffy Bass Field hosted the matchup, which marked the teams’ third face-off of the season. The Redbirds previously won against the Leathernecks 7-6 on Friday, March 13.

Karczewski contributed two hits over seven at-bats, scored one run, drew one walk, struck out once and stranded one baserunner.

Illinois State is set to play Western Illinois again Sunday, March 15, at 1 p.m. at Duffy Bass Field.
