Hayven Smith, a former standout from Lincoln-Way East High School and now a player for the Illinois Fighting Illini basketball team, is set to play in the NCAA Tournament.
The Fighting Illini, holding the No. 7 seed, face the No. 10 seeded Colorado Buffaloes in their opening game.
Tipoff for the first game is set for Saturday, March 21, at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium.
