The Frankfort School District 157-C Board of Education approved on Apr. 24 the appointments of Jacquie Major and Becki Kramer as assistant principals at Grand Prairie Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year.

This announcement is significant as both Major and Kramer are current teachers within the district, returning to Grand Prairie in new leadership roles next academic year. Their appointments come as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen leadership at the elementary level.

Frankfort Community Consolidated School District 157C serves Will County and includes Chelsea Elementary School, Grand Prairie Elementary School, and Hickory Creek Middle School, according to the Illinois Report Card. The district enrolled 2,548 students during the 2019-2020 school year and provides education from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade in Frankfort and Will County according to state data.

Demographically, Frankfort Community Consolidated School District 157C is comprised of approximately 79.9 percent White students, with Black students making up 6.7 percent, Hispanic students at 6.4 percent, and Asian students at 2.7 percent as reported by ISBE.
