Frankfort School District 157C announced on March 10 that all after school events and activities have been canceled for the day because of forecasted severe weather conditions. Students from Chelsea Elementary School, Grand Prairie Elementary School, and Hickory Creek Middle School will be dismissed at their regular times and are expected to go home immediately after school.

The district said the cancellation affects all clubs, rehearsals, athletic practices, and athletic events. Regular dismissal times remain unchanged: Hickory Creek Middle School at 2:10 PM, Grand Prairie Elementary School at 2:50 PM, and Chelsea Intermediate School at 3:30 PM.

Frankfort Community Consolidated School District 157C represents Will County and includes Chelsea Elementary School, Grand Prairie Elementary School, and Hickory Creek Middle School according to the Illinois Report Card.
