Fairmont School District 89 has announced the schedule for upcoming standardized assessments for students in grades 3 through 8. The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR), which evaluates student progress in English Language Arts and Mathematics, will take place from March 16 to March 26. The IAR is a computer-based test required for all students in these grades.
In addition, the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) will be administered to students in grades 5 and 8 from April 8 to April 10. The ISA measures student achievement based on the Illinois Learning Standards in Science and incorporates elements of the Next Generation Science Standards.
