During that period, the median home sale price in Crystal Lawns reached $300,000, with twelve properties sold. The median tax bill for the city in 2025 registered at $5,103, representing 1.7% of the median taxed property value.

The national average effective property tax rate stood at 0.888% in 2024.

Within Will County, Wilton, Park Forest and University Park had the top three highest effective property tax rates among local cities.
