The Crete-Monee Special Olympics Annual Unified Basketball Game, featuring teams from the Crete Police Department and Fire Department, will take place on April 7 at Crete-Monee High School. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., and the game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. Admission is free.

The event aims to bring together members of the community in support of Special Olympics athletes. Attendees can purchase popcorn and water for $1 each, as well as shop for Torch Run and Crete-Monee merchandise during the evening.

A Duck Throw split-the-pot fundraiser will also be held, with tickets available for $2 each or six for $10. The fundraiser provides an opportunity for participants to contribute further to the cause while enjoying a night of basketball.

Organizers encourage local residents to attend and show their support for both Special Olympics athletes and first responders participating in the event.

As this annual game continues, it serves as a way to foster unity within the community while raising awareness about Special Olympics programs.
