This month, the Crete Library is hosting several events and exhibits for the community.

On Wednesday, October 8, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, the library will hold “Civics University.” This event will provide information on how various local government bodies such as the library, village, township, Park District, and school district operate. The session aims to help residents better understand local governance.

Families are invited to attend “Incredible Bats: Bats Around the World” on Saturday, October 25. The program runs from 11:00 AM to noon and gives attendees a chance to meet live bats.

The library is also featuring “The American Revolution Experience,” an exhibit commemorating the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. This display will be available until October 9.

These events are part of ongoing efforts by public libraries across Illinois to engage communities through educational programming and exhibitions.
