Last month, the Crete Fire Department worked with the Crete Park District to hold its first Summer Fire Camp. The camp offered hands-on experiences for participants, including training in fire extinguisher use, CPR basics, first aid, and emergency communication. Attendees also learned about other key duties of firefighter-paramedics.

The camp aimed to help campers develop practical skills and teamwork while introducing them to possible careers in public safety.
