The Concordia Chicago Cougars, featuring former Lincoln-Way Central standout Connor Jerkatis, were defeated 14-9 by the Hardin-Simmons Cowboys in an NCAA Division III baseball game held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14.
Hunter Field hosted the matchup, which marked the third time the two teams met this season. The Cougars had previously earned a 13-9 victory over the Cowboys on Friday, March 13.
Jerkatis contributed one hit in three at-bats, scoring two runs, collecting two RBIs, and drawing three walks.
Concordia Chicago’s next game is set for Thursday, March 19, at 5 p.m. at Lee Pfund Stadium against the Wheaton Thunder.
