JOLIET — Arlene Sladek, nee Swiatek, aged 90, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Lightways Hospice Home in Joliet. Arlene, a resident of the Carillon Community of Plainfield for 29 years, was previously from Berwyn. She is survived by her children Scott (Judy) Sladek and Sharon (Tom) Kulawiak, sister Barbara (Tom) Wozniak, grandchildren Lauren (Spencer) Lemm and Jordan (fiancée Bob Thorell) Kulawiak, great grandson Jackson Lemm, and several nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Frank Sladek, parents Walter and Marie Swiatek, and brother Arthur (Rochelle) Swiatek. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, from 12 p.m. until the start of her memorial service at 4 p.m. at Anderson Memorial Home in Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations in Arlene’s memory to Lightways Hospice are appreciated.
