Village Board - Workshop Meeting

1. CALL TO ORDER-Roll Call

Present 6 - Trustee Dave Richards, Trustee Brian A. Clancy Sr., Mayor John Noak, Trustee Ken Griffin, Trustee Linda Palmiter, and Trustee Lourdes Aguirre

Absent 1 - Trustee Jose Chavez

RES23-3703 A Resolution Approving the Commitment of Local Matching Funds for Roadway Projects Eligible for STP Grants

Chris Drey, Public Works Director, explained that the Village will be submitting five projects to the Will County Governmental League for consideration of STP grant funding. The total amount of the local match for the five projects is $1,852,330. The remaining 80% of the projects costs would be federally funded through the grant.

RES23-3704 A Resolution Amending RES23-3689 the Arbor Tek Proposal for Restoration of Trees and Turf

Mr. Drey explained that this resolution is to update resolution 23-3689 previously approved in October in order to reflect the updated total for the amount of damaged trees and turf.

RES23-3706 A Resolution to Waive the Bidding Process and Accept a Quote from Smith Painting Services Inc. for Additional Floor Grit and Epoxy at the Aquatic Center Building

Sponsors: Kelly Rajzer

Kelly Rajzer, Parks and Recreation Director, is seeking permission to engage in a contract to have the pool deck, locker room, and corridor flooring scarified and to add grit in order to provide additional foot traction when the area is wet in the Aquatic Center building.

RES23-3707 A Resolution to Approve a Proposal from Hitchcock Design Group for Schematic Design, Construction Phase Services, and Engineering Services through Construction Administration Professional Services for Romeo Crossing Phase III

Ms. Rajzer explained that this is a continuation of the master plan commitment to Romeo Crossing Phase III. This approval is for the conceptual and schematic design phase from Hitchcock Design group. Ms. Rajzer explained the pieces involved in phase III of this project. The Village received an OSLAD grant for phase III of the project.

Mayor Noak commented that this project is really coming together.

RES23-3709 A Resolution Authorizing the Execution of an Agreement with Blue Sunset LLC

Sponsors: Kelly Rajzer

Ms. Rajzer explained that this agreement would approve Blue Sunset LLC as a vendor to sell grain/ fruit bowls at the RAEC. The Village will receive a 10% commission of the vendor sales.

4. ADJOURNMENT

A motion was made by Trustee Clancy, seconded by Trustee Aguirre, that this Meeting be Adjourned at 6:13 PM. The motion carried by a unanimous vote.
