Village of Frankfort Board of Trustees met April 18.

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

Mayor Keith Ogle called the regular meeting of the Frankfort Village Board to order on Monday, March 20, 2023, at 7:01 P.M.

ROLL CALL

Village Clerk Katie Schubert called the roll. In attendance were Mayor Keith Ogle, Clerk Katie Schubert, Trustees Adam Borrelli, Margaret Farina, Michael Leddin, Jessica Petrow, Daniel Rossi, and Gene Savaria. Also in attendance were Attorney Hannah Lamore, Police Chief Leanne Chelepis, Village Administrator Rob Piscia, and Assistant Administrator John Burica.

APPROVAL OF SPECIAL ORDERS - UNANIMOUS CONSENT AGENDA

All items on the Omnibus Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and are enacted in one motion. There is no separate discussion of these items unless a board member makes a request, in which event, the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and will be considered separately.

A. Approval of Minutes

1. Regular Meeting (March 6, 2023)

B. Approval of Bills - $254,428.49

C. Adoption of Village of Frankfort 2023 Official Zoning Map

Adopt the Village of Frankfort 2023 Official Zoning Map, Will and Cook Counties, Illinois.

Trustee Savaria made a motion, seconded by Trustee Farina, to approve the Unanimous Consent Agenda.

Trustees Farina and Savaria presented a brief overview of the consent agenda docket items under consideration for approval.

Clerk Schubert called the roll. Ayes: Trustees Borrelli, Farina, Leddin, Petrow, Rossi, and Savaria. Nays: None. The motion carried.

MAYOR'S REPORT

• Mayor Ogle thanked everyone who came out to the Spring on the Green and to all the volunteers who assisted with this year's event.

• Mayor Ogle announced that Will County Green is hosting Spring 2023 Recyclepalooza Collection Event on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. for Will County residents. Visit www.willcountygreen.com for details. He reported year-round electronic recycling is available on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Frankfort Township Building, 11000 W. Lincoln Highway.

• Mayor Ogle announced the following upcoming events: Earth Day (April 22); Frankfort Country Market (April 23); and State of the Village Address (April 27).

• Mayor Ogle announced the Village is accepting applications for appointment to the Historic Preservation Commission. Applications are available on the Village website at www.frankfortil.org.

BOARD COMMENTS

Clerk Schubert announced Early Voting at the Village Hall began today for the April 4th Consolidated Election and will continue through March 31, Monday - Friday, from 9:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. She reported a complete list of Early Voting locations and hours can be found online at www.willcountyclerk.org and noted evening and weekend hours are available at the Frankfort Public Library.

The Village Board urged residents to vote in the Consolidated Election on April 4.

Trustee Petrow encouraged resident to consider submitting an application to serve on the Historic Preservation Commission.

Trustee Borrelli recognized Village Event Coordinator, Sue Lynchey, for her nomination for the Chamber of Commerce 2023 Women in Business Awards.

Trustee Rossi congratulated the Lincoln-Way East Theatre Group who qualified for the state competition for the first time.

VILLAGE ADMINISTRATOR REPORT

Administrator Piscia had no report.

POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT

Chief Chelepis encouraged residents to make the #9PM routine a daily habit, locking vehicle doors, removing valuables from plain view, and never leave keys or key fobs inside their vehicles.

VILLAGE ATTORNEY'S REPORT

Village Attorney Hannah Lamore had no report.

OTHER BUSINESS

Trustee Petrow asked about Traffic Advisory Committee meetings. Administrator Piscia reported the Traffic Advisory Committee meets on an as-needed basis and any items of business can be addressed to Deputy Chief Will Dowding.

Trustee Petrow asked if the Village was hosting the annual Homeowner's Association meeting this year. Mayor Ogle noted the State of the Village is replacing that event and he is available for individual homeowner association meetings.

PUBLIC COMMENT

No public comments were addressed to the Village Board.

ADJOURNMENT

Hearing no further business, Trustee Savaria made a motion, seconded by Trustee Farina, to adjourn the regular board meeting of Monday, March 20, 2023. A voice vote was taken. All were in favor. The motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:12 P.M.
