Public Invited to Put Together Bolingbrook Mosaic - April 3-7
"Make Your Mark" on Bolingbrook’s first mosaic! Anyone can participate - no artistic or mosaic experience necessary! Think paint-by-number, but with tile!
The public is invited to help lay down tile pieces onto panels that will fit together to create Bolingbrook’s mosaic. Event registration is open now! Spots are limited! Register through Eventbrite HERE
The Village of Bolingbrook and the Bolingbrook Arts Council are embarking on the installation of a mosaic at Town Center, an art piece that will be completed by this summer. The mosaic will create a welcoming entryway to the Town Center, the Performing Arts Center, and the festival grounds behind village hall.
What should participants expect?
- The event is FREE and INDOORS (inside Bolingbrook Performing Arts Center)
- Morning and afternoon sessions available during the week of April 3-7
- A lead artist will guide participants on what to do
- Participants will place already broken mosaic tiles onto “tile-by-number” panels
- No previous art or mosaic-creating experience is necessary.
- Participants must be 8 years or older (children must be with a participating adult) and can focus on a project for 2 hours
