The City of Joliet Police Department issued the following announcement on Jan. 23.
Winter Storm Watch has been issued from Monday afternoon until Tuesday afternoon. Snow with possible wintry mix will develop during the day Monday. Heavy snow and strong winds will make traveling hazardous and dangerous. 5-8” of snow with minor ice accumulations likely.
