City of Wilmington issued the following announcement on Oct. 2.
People are still talking about how much fun this was last year!Sample 10 wines and appetizers at Wilmington’s downtown businesses! You will start at The Wine Café and then walk to the other businesses in any order you choose. Shops will be open until 10.Dressing as a witch or warlock is optional but much more fun, and many merchants will be offering discounts to witches! Tickets may be purchased at The Wine Café or Le Fleur de Lis starting Friday, Oct. 2. $30 (Proceeds benefit the Downtown Merchants Association.) No presales! You may also call The Wine Café and charge tickets for us to hold for you, starting at 11 AM Oct. 2. Twenty-five tickets will be sold for each of these starting times: 4:00, 4:30, 5:00, 5:30, 6:00, 6:30, 7:00. No refunds. Come hungry! The Wine Café will also have a fantastic entertainer, Carla Denise, from 8-10! We suggest you have someone drop you off at The Wine Café at your ticket time and pick you up or meet you there later so we don’t have any tipsy witches driving!
