Analysis: Monee pays $3.24 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Monee Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 76 percent of the $394,482 the Monee Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.24 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Monee contributed $299,853 to the fund, which saw a $94,183 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $92,465, or 23.4 percent, in 2018. Another $2,164 came from other unspecified sources.
