The City of Joliet Police Department issued the following announcement on June 13.
This Independence Day, the City of Joliet Police Department and the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration want to remind drivers that Buzzed Driving Is Drunk Driving. Unfortunately, the summertime merrymaking can create dangerous road conditions, as some drivers hit the streets after drinking alcohol beverages. Make sure you celebrate the birth of our nation safely.
