City of Joliet Public Service Committee met Nov. 19.

1. Roll Call
PRESENT: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.
ABSENT: Councilman Larry E. Hug.
ALSO PRESENT: Police Chief Al Roechner, Deputy Chief Mike Batis, Deputy Chief Marc Reid, Fleet Service Superintendent Dave Druzik.
2. Approval of Minutes - October 15, 2019
Draft-Minutes 10.15.2019-Public Safety Committee Meeting Minutes
Motion to approve the Minutes of the Public Safety Service Committee Meeting from October 15, 2019 was made by Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.
Motion seconded by Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman.
Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.
NAYS: None.
3. Citizens to be Heard on Agenda Items:
None.
4. Request Authorization to Purchase Public Safety Vehicles
CM-Draft - Authorization for Public Safety Police Vehicles
Dave Druzik discussed Purchase of Public Safety Vehicles.
Deputy Chief Mike Batis explained the replacement purchase of seven vehicles for the Police Department.
Motion to recommend Authorization to Purchase Public Safety Vehicles in the amount of $160,779.00 to full Council was made by Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman.
Motion seconded by Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman.
Motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: Chairperson Councilwoman Jan Hallums Quillman, Councilman Don "Duck" Dickinson.
NAYS: None.
5. Public Comments:
None.

A brief discussion was held regarding body cameras, including the retention of the body camera footage.
