City of Joliet Zoning Board of Appeals will meet May 17.

Here is the agenda provided by the Board:

3.Approval Of Minutes: Approval April 19, 2018 Zoning Board Of Appeals Minutes.

4. Citizens To Be Heard On Agenda Items: This section is for anyone wanting to speak regarding items listed on the agenda, except for items listed under Public Hearing. Anyone speaking on an agenda item is entitled to speak for a maximum of 4 minutes. It is not a question and answer period and staff and the Zoning Board of Appeals do not generally respond to public comments. Please note speakers who engage in conduct injurious to the harmony of the Zoning Board of Appeals shall be called to order by the Presiding Officer and may forfeit the opportunity to speak.

5. New Business: Public Hearing

a. Petition 2018-20: A Variation of Use to allow the continuation of a two-unit, an R-3 (one and two family) use in an R-2 (single-family) zoning district, located at 613 N. William Street.

b. Petition 2018-21: An Amendment to an existing Special Use Permit to increase the height of the existing cellular tower (flag pole) by an additional 18’, located at 1630 Essington Road.

c. Petition 2018-22: A Variation to allow a monument sign setback from 10’ to 5’, located at 927 Gardner Street.

d. Petition 2018-23: A Variation on maximum allowed signage for fueling station, located at 2951 CenterPoint Way.

e. Petition 2018-24: A Variation on a required side yard setback from ‘6 to 3’ for a commercial addition to the ALDI store, located at 2601 W. Jefferson St.
