Analysis: Monee pays $2.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Monee Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.6 percent of the $318,554 the Monee Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Will County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Monee contributed $218,539 to the fund, which saw a $53,315 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $98,039, or 30.8 percent, in 2016. Another $1,976 came from other unspecified sources.
