October filled with fundraising, glass raising for Will County GOP

The Will County Republicans are looking to raise some funds and foam in October, according to the group's newsletter.

Rep. Margo McDermed (R-Mokena) will be at C D & Me in Frankfort for her third annual Fall Reception on Oct. 5. The event, which will run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., offers area residents the chance to share their questions, concerns and support with McDermed. Admission is $40 per person and $75 per couple.

On the same night, the Lockport Republicans will host their annual Octoberfest celebration from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 1214 S Hamilton St. in Lockport. The fun event will feature a German-themed menu with bratwurst, Polish sausages, hot dogs, sauerkraut, potato salad, apple strudel and, of course, beer and a range of other hard and soft beverages. Tickets are $35 for individuals and $60 for couples.

Will County Board Member Debbie Militello will also host a fundraiser on Oct. 5 at Skooter’s Roadhouse in Shorewood. The event will start at 5 p.m., and admission is $35 per person or $50 per couple.

On Oct. 26, county clerk candidate Laurie McPhillips will run a fundraiser from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jacob Henry Mansion in Joliet. Admission is $35 per person and $50 for couples.

On Oct. 27, the Illinois Family Institute will host its fall banquet beginning at 7 p.m., with guest Lt. Col. Allen West.
