Citizens Speak: Visitors are always welcome to all public meetings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Crete. Interested parties wishing to speak should identify their intent to speak, they then may give their name and where they reside if they so choose and then make their comment. Persons may also provide their address privately to the Village Clerk if they so choose, persons are advised that addresses are considered private information under the Freedom of Information Act and thus are exempt from disclosure pursuant to any Freedom of Information Act request. However, in order to give proper consideration to all items on the agenda, the President has the authority to limit participants in debates and will close repetitive or abusive remarks.

A thank you note for the floral arrangement was received from the family of Bill Paul. Notification was received from Misericordia to save the dates of April 27 & 28, 2018 for their annual Misericordia jelly Belly Candy Days tag day fundraiser. Will County Center for Community Concerns (WCCCC), offering programs and support to residents of Crete, is asking for donations to help sustain their programs in Crete. The WCCC programs and services are designed to stabilize households so that individuals and families can work toward becoming self-sufficient. Request from the C-M Show Choir parents to hold a tag day on September 23", 2017 from 9 am until 1 pm. o July 31, 2017 letter from Comcast announcing their changes in customer communication.

o August 4, 2017 letter from Comcast with the changes to Weatherscan, shown on channel 116, beginning October 2017.

o Crete Masonic Lodge #763 Blood Drive will be held Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9:30 am until 1:30 pm. To schedule an appointment, call 800-786-4483. Walk-ins are welcome.

o EPA sent a Notice of Application for Permit to Manage Waste for Chicago Hits. Land Management, 1301S State Street, Chicago Hits, IL. The project is application for the transfer of sold waste permits to Allied Waste Transportation Inc. as Owner and Operator and proposed interim operating plan. Submit questions in writing to Bureau of Land, Attin: Permit Section, 1021 N. Grand Avenue E., Box 19276, Springfield, IL 62794-9276.

Old Business:

1. Discussion on the possibility of Business District Signage. Board action is anticipated.

2. Bid results: August 8, 2017 was the MFT Bid Opening at 10:00 a.m. for the "2018 MFT Various Streets" (with actual work to be done in 2017). Five packets were requested and two bids were presented. Gallagher Asphalt, Thornton IL was the lowest bid at $394,911.64. Iroquois Paving Corp. bid was $426,498.64. Board action is anticipated.

3. Approval of a slightly amended Fire Administrator Employment Contract previously authorized by Res. 2017-586. In discussion with IMRF, references to fire chief activities were removed from the employment contract to clarify full time fire administrator duties from that of POC fire chief duties. No changes were made in relation to the previously approved fire administrator position. Board action is anticipated.

New Business:

1. The Crete-Monee High School Warrior Boosters are requesting support by sponsorship to help defray costs of the fireworks planned on Homecoming weekend (Friday, October 6") after the Varsity Game. Board action may be taken.

2. Discussion on potential use of TIF#2 funds for repairs on First Street between Main Street and

Benton Street. Board action may be taken.
