Crete trustees plan annual memorial day parade

The village of Crete President and Board of Trustees met Monday to plan the annual memorial day parade.

CITIZENS SPEAK Visitors are always welcome to all public meetings of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Crete. Interested parties wishing to speak should identify their intent to speak, they then may give their name and where they reside if they so choose and then make their comment. Persons may also provide their address privately to the Village Clerk if they so choose; persons are advised that addresses are considered private information under the Freedom of Information Act and thus are exempt from disclosure pursuant to any Freedom of Information Act request. However, in order to give proper consideration to all items on the agenda, the President has the authority to limit participants in debates and will close repetitive or abusive remarks.

Photo re-enactment of the presentation of the Proclamation for March 2017 National Athletic Training Month. This is an annual request made by Peter Moritz, Athletic Trainer, Tinley Park High School, Athletico Physical Therapy that was adopted on the February 27, 2017 Village Board Meeting.

NEW BUSINESS:

Resolution No. 2017- : A resolution for the Village of Crete to hold their annual Memorial

Day Parade on Illinois Route #1 on Monday, May 29, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. which

will require closing of Route #1 from Burville Road to Milburn Avenue. Board action is

anticipated.

Ordinance No. 2017- : An Ordinance increasing the number of patrol officers and

amending Section 20-1 of the Crete Municipal Code. Board action is anticipated.

Request from CAYBSA to hold a parade on April 29" to celebrate the opening of their season.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m., traveling from Benton and Exchange St., east on Exchange St to Wood Street, south on Wood Street to Pearl Lane and east on Pearl Lane to the Joe Albrecht Memorial Field. Contact person is Robert W. Pillman, VP of CAYBSA. Board action is

anticipated.
