Lewis University won the 2016 Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) East Division, with the Flyers' 3-0 victory over St. Joseph on Nov. 12 at Neil Carey Arena in Romeoville, according to LewisFlyers.com.

Lewis went 17-1 in league play during the regular season and 24-6 overall. This year's league mark is the 11th straight season that the Flyers had three or fewer GLVC losses, according to glvcsports.com.

McKendree, which dealt Lewis its only league loss this season, was second in the East, with a 16-2 record. Indianapolis was third, at 10-8. Rockhurst won the West Division at 16-2.

Since the 2011 season, which was the first season with the conference divided into two divisions, Lewis has finished either first or second each season, including four division championships.

The Flyers have earned NCAA tournament bids in the 10 consecutive seasons coming before the 2016 campaign.

Lewis will play Quincy in the first round of the GLVC Championship Tournament at 2:30 p.m. Friday in East Peoria.
