Records show that in 2015, Kathleen Stec, a teacher at Richland Junior High at 1919 Caton Farm Road, received $109,116, the highest full adjusted pay among all teachers in the district.

Included in that amount was $7,394 in taxpayer-funded benefits.

Overall, the total amount Richland GSD 88A spent on its 20 highest-paid teachers in 2015 was $1,576,418.

Richland GSD 88A had 64 teachers in 2015.

According to the United States Census Bureau's 2015 Census American Community Survey, the median household income for Illinois was $57,444 in 2015.

ISBE is responsible for administering public education in Illinois and consists of nine board members appointed by the governor and approved by the Senate.
