Already this season, the Lewis University women's volleyball team is in familiar surroundings.
The Flyers were ranked No. 18 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II preseason poll, making it the 10th straight week Lewis has been ranked in the Top 25.
Among Midwest Region teams, Lewis is the third-highest ranked team, behind Ferris State at No. 8 and Rockhurst at No. 11.
Concordia-St. Paul was ranked No. 1, followed by Wheeling Jesuit, Palm Beach Atlantic, Southwest Minnesota State and Western Washington.
The Flyers had a 31-5 record in 2015, which included winning the Great Lakes Valley Conference title.
