Joliet has announced that Waste Management will begin collections earlier in the day on July 21 and 22.
Garbage, recycling, and yard waste removal regularly scheduled for this Thursday and Friday will begin at 6 a.m. instead of the usual 7 a.m start.
The decision to change this service was made because of extreme high temperatures and humidity and its affect on the drivers.
As a result of this change in service, Joliet residents are advised to place their containers outside the night before their scheduled pick up.
